A special thanks to all those who helped out to make the day very special for the children and their families including Fr. Cassidy, Sr. Rita, Mrs. McGoldrick, Ms. Delaney and Celia Fay. A big thank you to all the children who particitated in the choir – as ever a fabulous addition to the ceremony. Also, the celebration afterwards would not have happened without the help of the parents helping out and donating food.

The Inspectors Call

We recently had a visit from the inspectors to see how we were all getting on with our work. We gathered up all the books we have been using, for the inspectors to look at. They were very pleased with us, and couldn’t believe how much hard work we had done. They told us we were wonderful!
Handwriting Heroes
First and Second class have been working very hard at their handwriting and many of us won medals in the local Community Games Handwriting Competition. Pictured here are Emma (Silver) and Fiachra (Gold) who did us all proud in the County U-10 competition. Well done to all the lovely handwriters who are improving every day !
Going Shopping
The children from first and second classes have been studying Shopping – now and long ago. Here we are on a visit to Donohoes Foodfare, where Eamonn kindly answered lots of questions for us. We even had some Freeze Pops after all our hard work!
A big thank you to all the children in 1st and 2nd class who collected money for a little boy called Daniel for their Christmas project . On the final count we had gathered €75. We used the money to buy some Gifts of Change from Trócaire. We had great fun deciding what to buy, but eventually we chose to send gifts of chicks, olive trees, and a GOAT! Here we are holding our certificate from Trócaire.
Halloween Dress-Up Day
The children all enjoyed a spooky dress-up day as a fundraiser for the parents association. Thank you all for the effort put in.
